April 30, 2010 11:16 PM
Caroline Pidgeon is the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Vauxhall
On Thursday 6th May you will have the opportunity to elect your local Member of Parliament. As your Liberal Democrat candidate, I will work hard for our area all year round. Here is my pledge to you:
I will put local people first. I will be there to help, listen to your concerns and stand up for our community. I will:
- have an office in the constituency open at least 5 days a week.
- hold regular surgeries in easily accessible places.
- report back on what I am doing and ask for your views.
I will make sure your voice is heard - locally and at Westminster. You can rely on me to be a strong voice for our area. I will:
- fight to improve our local economy and local high streets
- push to get better tube, train and bus links for our area
- be a strong campaigner for the community, particularly on local school places, affordable housing and leisure facilities
- meet regularly with community groups and with the people who work in public services in our area.
I will be open and honest about all expenses incurred in representing you. I will:
- publish details on my personal website.
- not make any profit from the use of expenses and answer questions you may have about them promptly.
- continue to pay taxes in the United Kingdom as I always have done.
