Labour Care Charges Shock!

Labour run Lambeth's Council Tax rise this year was the highest in London, provoking fury among residents.
Yet as the Labour Government were squeezing people who could least afford it by abolishing the lower 10p tax rate, Labour bosses at the Town Hall piled on the misery by hitting the elderly and disabled.
Highest care charges in London
Labour have voted for the highest care charges in London. Last year they put charges for home care - home helps and assistance for those who need help with meals and washing - to £17.50 an hour.
This year they voted to increase the charges again!
Labour tried to block a special meeting called by the Lib Dems to protest against the charges.
Labour Councillors and the Green Councillor voted against hearing about the problems faced by elderly and disabled people and walked out of the meeting before those affected had a chance to speak.
